ABA Therapy: The Most Trusted and Proven Therapy for Autism
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the scientific study of behavior. Data collected are used to develop a program, evaluate progress, and guide future directions. In the area of Autism and related disabilities, ABA has become the hallmark treatment.
Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI), is a specialty of ABA for very young children. EIBI typically ranges from 30-40 hours of treatment per week, direct and indirect supervision by a BCBA, plus caregiver training. This form of therapy has been demonstrated to be highly effective in closing the gap between children diagnosed with Autism and their typically developing peers but the model benefits anyone especially if seeking help for the reduction of severe and dangerous problem behavior.
ABA also lends well to collaboration. At Next Steps we are happy to work in partnership with other professionals like Speech and Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Physical Therapists. We believe strongly in the team approach!
