Clinical Supervisor

Matt joined the Next Steps Team as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2018.

Matt is from Raleigh, North Carolina and received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Applied Behavior Analysis and Developmental Disabilities from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. In 2017, he earned a master’s degree in ABA with James Madison University and has happily remained in the Shenandoah Valley area ever since.

 At JMU he participated in rigorous coursework and an intensive practicum placement working with children of various ages and developmental disabilities in surrounding public schools – all while under the close supervision of several BCBAs. Following his experiences at JMU, he has largely worked as an in-home supervisor delivering individualized services for parents, children, and collaborating care with other service providers. Matt has strong experience in early intervention, verbal behavior, and behavior skills training, with a particular interest in performance feedback and research.

 Matt provides clinical supervision and services for the Charlottesville office. Matt loves outdoor activities, music, cooking, and relaxing. He lives in Waynesboro, VA with his significant other, Robyn, and their two dogs.
